That’s me. I went to Catholic school at Our Lady of Lourdes in Syracuse, NY and had to wear a uniform for about 8 years.  I loved, loved, loved it, until the dreaded day where I realized I couldn’t wear it forever (read: public high school.)  I had to wear real people clothes and I had NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING. I think I’ve got the hang of it now many, many years later — after a rough hemp necklace / basketball jersey phase.

So, this is what happens after people come out on the other side of their navy or green or plaid or maroon or grey school outfit. There are lots of us still in recovery.  And side/front note: I’m writing a collection of essays about it too.
